Chiltern Voice

Chiltern Voice is a not-for-profit community radio platform. Whilst the station can be listened to and enjoyed by everyone, the focus for the station is to help promote local charities and voluntary groups within the Chilterns. Businesses can also help support the project by advertising or sponsoring the station, which will also promote their business.

The radio station is an online community radio station, licensed by Ofcom, PRS & PPL. Based in Chesham, the project covers the Chilterns including; Amersham, Chesham, Great Missenden, The Chalfonts, Ashley Green, Bovingdon, Chartridge, Holmer Green & many more areas across Buckinghamshire. The Station is run and presented solely by volunteers.

Chiltern Voice has won a full-time FM community radio licence for the Amersham & Chesham areas of Buckinghamshire. The service will be available on FM & online once launched, meaning that it will be accessible to listeners in the same way as any other radio station, in their cars, homes and at work.

Volunteers are welcome. Students (of all ages), teachers and other members of the public can get in touch if you are interested in getting involved with this exciting project and want to know more. Becoming part of the radio project will give volunteers the opportunity to learn how to run a radio station, which includes programming, scheduling, writing news reports, as well as the technical and engineering side of broadcast. Training will be given where appropriate and necessary.
