Join us for a wonderful afternoon of music and dance in a concert by Opera Tonica who have lined up some fantastic pieces from Mendelssohn, Bizet, Offenbach, Grieg, Cole Porter, Rogers and Hammerstein, Gilbert and Sullivan and many, many more all performed in costume. Loosely based on A Midsummer Night’s Dream, you’ll enjoy the magical sight and sound of fairies (and humans) singing and dancing by moonlight.
Everyone is welcome to what promises to be a lovely concert at 3pm on Sunday 23 June 2019 at the Amersham Community Centre where there is lots of free parking on Sundays.
Tickets online at https://midsummer-magic.eventbrite.co.uk.
Opera Tonica's professional singers have all performed leading roles in some of the best known and loved operas and have come together in a special performance for our branch of Parkinson’s UK. Joining Opera Tonica on stage will be students from the JK Dance Academy and the HeartStrings quartet will play before the show and during the interval. The money raised from this concert will go to the Amersham and High Wycombe branch of Parkinson’s UK. This is a group for local people living with Parkinson’s and their carers which provides services, activities and support.
All money comes from kind donations and fundraising initiatives. Find out more on our website: www.parkinsonsAHW.org.uk
