The Knights of Harmony are running a six week course in a cappella singing. This is a free course designed to encourage more men to sing. The course is supported by Chesham Connect and The British Association of Barbershop Singers. It has been shown that singing in a choir is good for your psychological wellbeing, and is a cost-effective way to alleviate anxiety and stress, making you feel happy. Studies, done by Nick Stewart of the Oxford Brookes University, prove that the elation comes from endorphins, a hormone released by singing, which is associated with feelings of pleasure. If you want to put these findings to the test, then you are invited to come along to a FREE six week course starting on September 12th at the White Hill Centre, Chesham HP5 1AG. Details can be found at knightsofharmony.org.uk This course is being run by the Knights of Harmony male a-cappella singers, and is therefore for men only. However, our sister chorus, Amersham A Cappella, would give ladies just as much fun and pleasure.
